RT Arrow Ranch offers mare care and foaling services designed to meet the special needs of pregnant mares and new born foals. The ranch provides quality feed, appropriate vaccination and worming programs, exercise/turnouts and clean, safe foaling stalls. Mares are monitored regularly prior to foaling.
Mares and newborn foals are attended to and cared for during and after the foaling process. Foals are immediately handled to become accustomed to people, halters, lead ropes, etc. This important step helps to ensure a foal will grow into a horse that is easier to handle and train. Weather permitting, mares and foals are turned out to grass pastures during the day.
